One week ago, we posted an interview we did with Dominik Nitsche ... one week later, Nitsche (2012 QJ/PTPR Rank: 8th) was punishing his competion dominating his way to the win at the WPT Emperors Palace Poker Classic in Johannesburg - the WPT's first visit to South Africa.

Nitsche's win, his second of the season, earns him a spot on the 2012 QuadJacks Poker Player of the Year Leaderboard - powered by PTPRpoker. The German earned a bracelet at one of the last events this past summer at the WSOP in Las Vegas.
Nitsche picked up his first WSOP bracelet in July and followed that up with a WPT title earlier today ... can he enter poker's Triple Crown club with a win at EPT Prague in December - all in a five-month span?
Nitsche defeated English pro Jerome Bradpiece (2012 QJ/PTPR Rank: T-284th) heads-up. Bradpiece's breakout performance came way back in 2007 when he won a GUKPT Walsall Main Event.
Jason Strauss (2012 QJ/PTPR Rank: T-592nd) - who defeated 2010 Player of the Year Sorel Mizzi to win the Aussie Millions Heads-Up Championship in January - was fifth in this event. Strauss also earned a third place finish at WSOP Circuit South Africa earlier this season.
Like Strauss, fellow South African Greg Ronaldson (2012 QJ/PTPR Rank: 581st) also earned a Top 5 finish at WSOP Circuit South Africa. Ronaldson also earned a Top 15 score at WSOP NLH Event 19 this past summer.
