WEBER DEFEATS KELLNER TO WIN PUNTA CANA CLASSIC IN THE DR!

The Punta Cana Poker Classic is certainly a destination event on the poker circuit ... although this year's presentation of the event was earlier than it was last year (in November), it is still already cold in a few different parts of the world and those who made their way to the Dominican Republic for the event certainly enjoyed the poker ... but a little fun in the sun as well!

Matthew Weber, who held the chip lead coming into final table play, was the eventual Champion of the Classic, defeating Kelly Kellner heads-up.

Bill Kontaratos, who finished sixth in the event, was on the bubble for Player of the Year points for the second time this season. Kontaratos also finished sixth in the PokerStars Stardust Canadian Poker Classic at the end of the summer.
