We are down to our final 24 players at EPT Sanremo as only two more days until we crown our next EPT Tour Champ.
Two Jason stole the headlines on Tuesday.
Jason Tompkins (2012 QJ/PTPR Rank: T-531st) was sixth in chips heading into today's play ... and the Irishman wasted zero time accumulating tons of chips and overtaking Inge Forsmo (2012 QJ/PTPR Rank: NR) for the overnight chip lead. Forsmo will start in second chip position.
The other Jason, Canada's Jason Lavallee (2012 QJ/PTPR Rank: T-858th) was on the bottom half of the chip counts when the day began ... but it certainly didn't take long for Lavallee to boost his chip stack ... Lavallee more than quadrupled his stack on Tuesday. He, like Tompkins, will be looking to position themselves on Wednesday, en route to their first major poker title.
Recent WPT Grand Prix de Paris winner Matthew Salsberg (2012 QJ/PTPR Rank: T-81st) held the chip lead for a while today. Salsberg's recent experience will certainly serve him well and we play down to the final table of eight on Wednesday.
