It didn't take long for Vanessa Selbst to take back the #3 rank on the 2012 QuadJacks Poker Player of the Year Leaderboard.
Less than a month after moving down to #7, Selbst has picked up her third win of 2012 (she had wins in a LAPC prelim and captured a WSOP braclet over the summer) with her Festa al Lago prelim victory on Sunday night.
Selbst replaces Phil Hellmuth at #3 on the charts ... she defeated Justin Young (2012 QJ/PTPR Rank: T-412th) heads-up. Surprisingly, this is only Young's first Player of the Year score of 2012.
Kid Poker, Daniel Negreanu (2012 QJ/PTPR Rank: 60th), finished third in the event.
Dana Kellstrom (2012 QJ/PTPR Rank: T-1,094th), Daniel Shak (2012 QJ/PTPR Rank: T-1,281st), Chris Bjorin (2012 QJ/PTPR Rank: 65th), Andrew Lichtenberger (2012 QJ/PTPR Rank: 63rd) and Rodger Johnson (2012 QJ/PTPR Rank: T-296th) all earned POY points in the event.
