The United Nations has formed at the final table of EPT Sanremo. A Frenchman, a Irishman, a Pole, an American, a Canadian, a German, an Italian and a Russian - all meeting to determine which one of them will win the 800K EURO up for grabs in Sanremo on Thursday.
The Canadian, Jason Lavallee (2012 QJ/PTPR Rank: T-858th), will be the man to beat on Thursday. Lavallee started Tuesday's play with about 200K in chips - he ended the day with over 1M - and Lavallee refused to let up today as he more than quadrupled his stack again, entering final table play with 5.45M chips.
Lavallee final tabled Event #22 Limit 2-7 Triple Draw Lowball at the WSOP over the summer. He is better known for his second place finish at the WPT Festa al Lago in 2009 where he collected a little under 800K USD for his efforts.
Ludovic Lacay (2012 QJ/PTPR Rank: T-1,708th) is only a few chips behind Lavallee. Lacay final tabled the 5K PLO Championship at the PCA in the Bahamas in January. He has over 2M USD in career earnings.
Jason Tompkins (2012 QJ/PTPR Rank: T-531st), has been in contention for days now in Sanremo. Tompkins, who started the day as the chip leader, will have the third biggest chip stack at the final table.
