Inge Forsmo (2012 QJ/PTPR Rank: NR) has the chip lead as Day 2 of the EPT Sanremo Main Event has come to a close.
A total of 797 players entered the event creating a prizepool of over 5M USD with 800K EURO going to the winner. There are currently 162 players still alive in the tournament.
Recent WPT Grand Prix de Paris Champ Matthew Salsberg (2012 QJ/PTPR Rank: T-81st) sits in sixth position hoping that his recent hot streak continues here in Sanremo.
Salsberg could have finished the day with way more chips, but, a misstep with only a few hands left to play cost him some chips.
Jason Tompkins (2012 QJ/PTPR Rank: T-531st), Morten Mortensen (2012 QJ/PTPR Rank: T-323rd) and Ben Vinson (2012 QJ/PTPR Rank: T-364th) all ended the day with Top 10 stacks ... 2010 EPT London Champ David Vamplew (2012 QJ/PTPR Rank: T-T-1,455th) is 11th.
On the flipside, it certainly wasn't a good day for Sam Trickett (2012 QJ/PTPR Rank: T-244th), who entered Day 2 play as the chip leader.
Trickett, who finished second at the Big One for One Drop this summer, saw a huge stack of chips disappear on the final hand of the night as Trickett's when former WPT Tour Champion Yevgeniy Timoshenko rivered a straight.
Play continues at 2PM CET (Central European Time) on Monday.
