For the second straight day Norwegian Inge Forsmo (2012 QJ/PTPR Rank: NR) leads the way in Sanremo.
After earning the chip lead on Sunday, Forsmo continued his strong play on Day 3 today - he is the only player returning tomorrow with over a million chips in play.
Ireland's Jason Tompkins (2012 QJ/PTPR Rank: T-531st) also maintained a big chip stack on Day 3. Tompkins enters Tuesday's play in sixth chip position.
Although Tompkins does have a ton of live scores on his resume, a major win is still missing - could this be the one for the Irish poker pro?
2010 EPT London Champ David Vamplew (2012 QJ/PTPR Rank: T-1,455th) rounds-out the Top 10.
For the second straight day, the final hand of the evening wasn't too nice to a top pro. After Sam Trickett lost most of his chips on the final hand on Sunday (Trickett was eliminated early during Day 3 play), it was Isaac Haxton's (2012 QJ/PTPR Rank: 276th) turn to feel the pain on Monday.
All-in pre-flop, Haxton's AK was up against Eric Nhouyvanisvong's QQ ... the flop did make things interesting as Haxton hit two diamonds and Nhouyvanisvong had to sweat a flush draw on the turn and river - which he did.
Although Haxton still has a lot of chips, he would have been near the chip lead had he not been involved in that final hand.
