Reigning and defending EPT London Champion Benjamin Spindler (2012 QJ/PTPR Rank: T-192nd) collects the last POY points available at EPT Sanremo, winning the 10K NLH High Rollers event.
This is Spindler's first live tournament cash since his big London win a little over 12 monhts ago.
Second place finisher Keven Stammen (2012 QJ/PTPR Rank: 28th) had a good time in Sanremo. After his victory in a 2K NLH Turbo side event earlier in the week good for 92K EURO, Stammdogg continued to collect money today. His second place finish earned him 200K EURO.
With his fourth place finish, Joseph Cheong (2012 QJ/PTPR Rank: 19th) earns POY points for the seventh time this season and moves into the Top 20 in the race for Player of the Year. Subiime's seven scores is one less than Dan Smith and Phil Ivey, who both have eight.
Cheong had a deep run in the WSOP Europe Main Event last season, event won by Phil Hellmuth.
Philipp Gruissem (2012 QJ/PTPR Rank: 142nd) and Igor Kurganov (2012 QJ/PTPR Rank: 143rd) - both of which have High Rollers victories in the past few seasons - final tabled the event.
Joel Nordkvist (2012 QJ/PTPR Rank: T-404th), Igor Yaroshevskyy (2012 QJ/PTPR Rank: T-2,182nd) and Brandon Barnes (2012 QJ/PTPR Rank: T-2,182nd) are three other notables who collected POY points this event.
EPT Barcelona Main Event winner Mikalai Pobal finished tenth in this event and failed to collect POY points.
