LA POKER OPEN: HOLLAND WINS AS LAPC LOOMS

Believe it or not, we are only months away from the 2013 Los Angeles Poker Classic ... but first, we had business to take care of at Commerce Casino yesterday as the Championship Event at the LA Poker Open needed to find a winner.

And that winner is live tournament veteran and former WSOP bracelet winner Randy Holland. Holland weeded through the 364-player field in order to collect $110,000 USD for the victory.

Holland's first live tournament cash of significance came way back in 1993 - where he finished eighth in a 1,500 NLH event at the WSOP, good for 11K.

Fifth place finisher Patrick Karschamroon earned (2) Top 15 finishes in NLH events at this past summer's WSOP.

Karschamroon won the Cal State Poker Championship back in 2010.

Aaron Kaiser, Bart Hanson, Greg Sessler and Chris Gregorian are a few other known players who cashed in the event.
