With all the excitement surrounding the WSOP Main Event final table earlier this week, many poker fans may have missed the fact that a former November Niner, and two-time WSOP 50K Poker Players Champion, was winning big in his home state of Florida.
The Grinder, Michael Mizrachi (2012 QJ/PTPR Rank: 4th), won the 2012 Isle Open, picking up a 128K USD paycheck for his tournament victory.
Mizrachi's win moves him up one spot on the 2012 QuadJacks Poker Player of the Year Leaderboard, moving past Phil Hellmuth with Pompano Park score.
Mukul Pahuja (2012 QJ/PTPR Rank: T-1,295th) finished third in the event. Pahuja collected POY points earlier this season at the Venetian Deepstack Extravaganza in July - he was fourth in a 1,600 NLH event.
Joseph Gibbons (2012 QJ/PTPR Rank: T-2,035th) was fourth in the event - the last time Gibbons had collected POY points was back in 2011, where he cashed in the NAPT Mohegan Sun Main Event.
