Australian poker pro Jeffrey Rossiter (2012 QJ/PTPR Rank: T-132nd) has won the APPT Macau Asian Championship of Poker NLH Warm-Up event, collecting 1.77M HKD for the victory.
Rossiter is best known for his third place finish at the 2011 Aussie Millions. He also finished third at APPT Macau almost a year ago.
The Aussie defeated David Martiroysan (2012 QJ/PTPR Rank: T-337th) heads-up. Martiroysan finished fourth at the Macau Poker Cup in February.
Joseph Cheong (2012 QJ/PTPR Rank: 13th) - a.k.a Subiime - collected POY points for the eighth time this season ... he joins Daniel Smith and Phil Ivey as the only players to earn eight scores in 2012.
At #13, Cheong is the highest ranked player yet to have won an event on the circuit in 2012.
GSOP Grand Final winner Andrey Shatilov (2012 QJ/PTPR Rank: T-448th) and poker legend Johnny Chan (2012 QJ/PTPR Rank: T-1,722nd) were two other notables who final tabled the event.
