The task at hand was certainly not an easy one to complete. The mission? Beat a former IPT and EPT Champ with tons of live tournament poker experience heads-up in order to secure the first live tournament victory of your career.
For Riccardo D'Antoni, it's mission accomplished! The young Italian won ITP Nova Gorica earlier this week, defeating tournament 2008 EPT Prague Champ Salvatore Bonavena (2012 QJ/PTPR Rank: T-362nd) heads-up.
For Bonavena, it's a fourth Top 5 placing at IPT events. Funny enough, he's collected a 1st, 2nd, 3rd and a 4th place finish ... fifth position next for Bonavena?
Bonavena also placed third at the WSOP Europe 1K event - event won by Antonio Esfandiari.
Third place finisher Sebastiano Giudice and fourth place finisher Fausto Cheli have a history of playing final tables together. They both had the opportunity to play in the WPT National Series St-Vincent event together - Cheli finished second and Giudice fourth in that event.
