James Carroll (2012 QJ/PTPR Rank: T-736th) is the latest winner on the Heartland Poker Tour.
Live from the glitz and glamour of Las Vegas, seconds away from the strip, the latest HPT event was held at the Palms Casino Resort.
Carroll defeated Michael Ryan (2012 QJ/PTPR Rank: T-1,332nd) heads-up. Ryan seemed to be very happy with his second place finish, he was happy to just be there!
Trevor Pope (2012 QJ/PTPR Rank: T-392nd) finished fourth in the event. Pope earned a sixth place finish at this year's WPT World Championship in Bellagio, days before the start of the 2012 WSOP.
Speaking of the WSOP, fifth place finisher Randy Ohel (2012 QJ/PTPR Rank: 45th) earned a bracelet at this summer's Series.
David Williams had a monster chip lead at the start of Day 2 play on Sunday. Unfortunately, he was unable to maintain the momentum, finishing 24th.
Other notables to cash in Vegas include: Eric Froehlich, David "ODB" Baker, Stan Jablonski, Allyn Shulman and October Niner Jeremy Ausmus.
