It's deja vu all over again! One day after finishing the day as chip leaders, Christopher McClung and Daniel Neilson have once again taken their EPT San Remo destinies in their own hands, both will once again event play with the top chip stacks as top 24 players make their way into Casino San Remo on Wednesday.
McClung nearly tripled his Day 4 stack, he sits with 3.148M in chips and while Neilson will start the day second, he's still over 1M chips behind McClung, who has really played some solid poker in this tournament.
Native son Alessio Isaia, who currently sits 6th on the 2011 PTPR Poker Tournament Player of the Year Leaderboard, is fourth in chips and is on the verge of something big. Should Isaia (pictured) the early charge on Wednesday and make it into PTPR Points for the event (Top 18), Isaia will at the very least jump up to fourth overall - surpassing Jason Mercier and Will Failla along the way. A Top 2 finish and Isaia would be back on top of the poker world with the #1 rank - but, we're jumping a little ahead of ourselves.
The rail will certainly be following McClung, Neilson and Isaia but will also be looking for Kevin MacPhee, Barny Boatman, Lex Veldhuis, Mike McDonald and WSOPE Champ Elio Fox amongst others on Wednesday.
