The goal was simple for the Heartland Poker Tour this past weekend. Hit the Golden Gates Casino and reach for the million! Well folks, mission accomplished!
That's right, the latest tour stop for the HPT - the Golden Gates in Black Hawk, Colorado - attracted 668 players ... and a stunning 1+ million dollar prizepool - well done, friends!
Craig Casino (you read right, Casino is indeed his last name - not to mention his wife's maiden name is Slott! - you can't make this stuff up!) won the event, collecting just under 300k in the process. Casino defeated Mary Flurkey heads up.
Third place finisher Dan Hirleman collected his second PTPR Score of the season - Hirleman earned 17 PTPR Points at Event 40 of this year's WSOP - NLH Six Handed - back in June.
