Philipp Gruissem has chosen a great moment to be on a heater ... on a High Roller heater at that!
Following a 28th place finish at the WSOP Main Event this summer, Gruissem picked up the win at the EPT Barcelona High Rollers Championship in late August.
Queue today's heroics. Gruissem survived one heck of a quality final table to make it two in a row ... that's right, a second EPT High Rollers event win in as many EPT tour stops - now that's impressive! Oh, and let's not forget that Gruissem joins fellow countryman Benny Spindler for the German double. Spindler having collected the Main Event win earlier today.
PTPR RANKINGS LOOK-IN:
19. Roberto Romanello, 212
20. Mitch Schock, 203
21. Marvin Rettenmaier, 202
22. Philipp Gruissem, 200
23. Chris Moorman, 191
Gruissem's win came at the hands of Igor Kurganov. Kurganov was our chip leader when play began earlier Thursday. Star players Olivier Busquet and Sam Trickett finished 4th and 7th respectfully while EPT Copenhagen Champ Michael Tureniec had a disappointing final table, he was the first one out on Thursday.
Reigning WSOP Europe Main Event Champ James Bord avoided the bubble, he earned a 9th place finish as the last player out on Wednesday.
