It is a great time to be a Danish poker fan ... come to think of it, it's a great time to be a Danish poker player!!
Hot off the heels of three straight EPT Main Event victories by countrymen Petersen, Jensen and Wrang, it's Morten Christensen's time to shine on the big stage.
Christensen wins WPT Vienna, defeating a 396-player field on way to his first live tournament win on record. Christensen had three cashes prior to today's win, two in EPT Deauville side events and one earlier this season at a PCA side event.
Christensen (2012 PTPR Rank: T-12th) had collected a total of 14K USD in winnings prior to today's big score. He will gladly add 410K US to that total once he leaves the casino today. Christensen qualified online in order to enter the event.
On the eve of defending his EPT Berlin title, Ben Wilinofsky (2012 PTPR Rank: T-101st) had quite the roller coaster ride in Vienna on Sunday. Wilinofsky's chip stack was up and down and up and finally down again exiting the tournament in third place. Still, a very important run by the Canadian.
