EPT Campione Champion Jannick Wrang is the QuadJacks.com PTPR Poker Player of the Month for March.

Wrang had to endure a 13-hour torture match to win his first EPT title, disposing of big name pros Olivier Busquet and Fabrice Soulier to win it all.

Wrang surpassed fellow Dane and EPT Madrid Champ Frederik Jensen by one point to collect Player of the Month honours.

WPT Shooting Star winner Moon Kim was third for the month.

A total of 203 different players scored PTPR Points in March – only (1) single player collected multiple scores during the month. Italian Andrea Dato earned scores at side events at both EPT Madrid and EPT Campione.

AT THIS POINT LAST SEASON
At this point in March 2011, Mad Marvin Rettenmaier continued to lead the charge at 195 PTPR Points but Ali Eslami and Alessio Isaia were gaining ground on the German. 2011 Player of the Year, Will Failla, was stuck at 75 PTPR Points for another month, The Thrill sat in 57th position at this point last season … Here is a look at our March 2011 Top 5:

ISERIES LIVE
The first ever made-for-TV and made-for-betting ISeries event took place in Ireland earlier this week.

UK star James Dempsey won the event, earning the winner-take-all 100K EURO top prize. Dempsey defeated poker legend Devilfish Dave Ulliott heads up.

DELAWARE PARK POKER CLASSIC
2011 Venetian Deepstack side event winner Adam Cook is on the board in 2012. Cook – who also had a strong showing at the Borgata Spring Open last season – wins the Delaware Park Poker Classic, defeating defending champion Alexander Queen.

Cook picks up 72K USD with the victory.

Tournament host Greg Raymer was the bubble boy, finishing 37th.

EURO MASTERS LISBON
Finland’s Joni Jouhkimainen wins the latest Euro Masters of Poker event in Lisbon, Portugal, collecting over 56K EURO for the victory.

MID-STATES TOUR IOWA
The Mid-States Poker Tour (MSPT) setup shop at the Meskwaki Casino in Iowa over the weekend. 349 players entered the main event.

Muneer Ahmed was crowned Champion, collected the first known live tournament cash of his career and 89K US for his efforts.

WSOP CIRCUIT HORSESHOE COUNCIL BLUFFS (PRELIM EVENT)
While we wait for the Main Event to be completed, the 1K prelim event at WSOP Circuit Council Bluffs took place earlier in the week, with Iowa native Darrell Prevail prevailing, and picking up just under 40K USD for the win.
