We told you to keep an eye on him, didn't we? 2011 EPT Snowfest runner-up Kevin Vandersmissen entered today's final table play at the Irish Open in Dublin as one of the two smallest stacks at the table.
After a early double-up when his tournament was on the line, Vandersmissen remained consistent throughout the day and controlled play once we got heads up. One thing is for certain, few will forget the "s" before the "m" now - it's Vander-S-missen, not Vandermissen!
Vandersmissen (2012 PTPR Rank: T-24th) collects his biggest paycheck to date, he will be able to cash a cool 420K Euro cheque once he gets back home in Belgium.
It was second Irish final table for Steve Watts (2012 PTPR Rank: 81st) this season. After finishing fifth at WPT Ireland at the start of the season, the English pro earned a fifth place finish here at the Irish Open.
It was the third PTPR Score of this young season for Canadian Samuel Chartier. After two scores at EPT Deauville side events, Chartier (2012 PTPR Rank: 101st) managed to take a very short stack up to seventh place today at the Burlington Hotel.
Poker legend Andy Black earned his first points of 2012, finishing eighth here in Dublin.
