Collins, Marafioti, Gross, Wolpert, O'Brien and Presley - the dream final table that the Heartland Poker Tour were certainly looking for as the HPT made it's way from the Heartland to the Palms, in Las Vegas this past weekend.
WSOP standout Phil Collins collects the top booty, winning over 71K USD with his win at Palms. Collins had dominated the late-tournament buzz - along with Doc Sands and Ben Lamb - as each player tried to make their way to the November Nine this past summer. Collins was successful in his mission, and certainly held his own, finishing fifth in the Main.
For Collins, it's the first win in 2012 and could be an early sign of what's to come; the WSOP being right around the corner.
Matt Marafioti was second in the event, Steve Gross third while Leo Wolpert was fourth. Daniel O'Brien and defending HPT Oklahoma Champion Terry Presley round-out the top six.
Dutch Boyd (7th), Christina Lindley (12th), Michael Craig (13th) and Randy Dorfman (20th) also cashed out in the event.
