For the second time this week, an extra day was needed to settle the score at the WSOP.
Four-time bracelet winner David Chiu (2012 QJ/PTPR Rank: T-115th) would come to today's extra day as the chip leader, looking to add #5 to his resume. Former November Niner Ylon Schwartz (2012 QJ/PTPR Rank: 41st) and star UK player Stephen Chidwick (2012 QJ/PTPR Rank: 88th) would join Chiu to fight for the bracelet.
Chidwick was the first to go and Schwartz took a big chip lead on Chiu only to defeat the former WPT Tour Champion after an attempted comeback fell short.
Schwartz wins the first WSOP bracelet of his career. Schwartz, who's first WSOP dates back to 2005, earns the second largest cash of his live tournament poker career, he earned over 3M for his fourth place finish at the 2008 Main Event.
Sanjay Pandya, Allen Cunningham, Zimnan Ziyard, Bryce Yockey, Rep Porter, Benjamin Lukas, Cliff Josephy and Michael Chow are notables who all finished in the Top 18.
