Many people have won World of Series of Poker bracelets, however, not many people can boast having eliminated two poker legends, one three-handed and the other heads-up, in order to win their very first bracelet ... this is exactly what Joe Cassidy did.
Cassidy (2012 QJ/PTPR Rank: T-49th) eliminated Phil Ivey (2012 QJ/PTPR Rank: 11th) in the final play in what was supposed to be the final day - but extra time was needed and Cassidy was back today to take care of 5-time WSOP bracelet winner (and former WSOP World Champion) Scotty Nguyen (2012 QJ/PTPR Rank: T-128th).
2012 WSOP bracelet winner Brian Hastings (2012 QJ/PTPR Rank: 38th) scored in the event, he now has 133 PTPR Points on the year.
Mike Matusow (2012 QJ/PTPR Rank: T-326th) and Dan Kelly (2012 QJ/PTPR Rank: 102nd) earned their second and third PTPR Scores of 2012 respectively.
Gregory Jamison, Bart Hanson, Ryan Lenaghan, Andreas Krause, Brendan Taylor, Viacheslav Zhukov (who won a bracelet at this event last year's WSOP) and Ismael Bojang all finished in the Top 18.

Phil Ivey earned his fifth PTPR Score of the season in this event - his second Top 3 finish in three days - and he now sits 5 PTPR Points out of the 2012 QuadJacks Poker Player of the Year Top 10 Leaderboard - powered by PTPRpoker.
Those in the Top 10 will surely be keeping an eye on what Ivey does for the rest of the Series.
