It's not often that you get to run into Caesars Interactive Entertainment Mitch Garber and Cirque du Soleil creator Guy Laliberte outside of Las Vegas ... but they are here, live in Gatineau, QC - at Casino Lac-Leamy as the 25K buy-in qualifier to the 1M One Drop is set to take off in the next few minutes.
But Garber and Laliberte aren't the only big names here at Lac-Leamy ... A who's who of Ontario and Quebec poker players - Samuel Chartier, Philippe D'Auteuil, Laurence Grondin, Jason Hallee, Marc-Andre Ladouceur, Christopher McClung, Scott Montgomey, Steven Paul and Michael "Timex" McDonald - headline what is a strong list of 55 players (registration still open until 10AM) ... they are capping the event at 64 players.
With the event reaching 50 players, we can now confirm that this event will qualify for QJ/PTPR Points as a Tier 3 Event, 100 QJ/PTPR Points to the winner - a win for McDonald would place him in the Top 40.
