2012 WSOP: DAY 3 REVIEW - HELLMUTH COLLECTS 86TH CASH

We have yet to hand out a WSOP bracelet in an open event, but, while we wait, we do have a few events working their way towards the first bracelet ceremony of 2012 ...


EVENT #2 | 1,500 NLH | 2,101 ENTRIES | 2.83M PRIZEPOOL

The final fifteen players returned to the Rio for final day play earlier on Wednesday with big names (Bazeley, Badecker, Selbst, Hanks and JP Kelly to name a few) in the hunt.



As of press time (5:40PM PT), Jacob Bazeley leads the final 10 charge. Former bracelet winners Andrew Badecker and Vanessa Selbst are right behind him.

Congratulations to Phil Hellmuth, who added to his all-time leading record of WSOP cashes, earning the 86th cash of his illustrious poker career at the World Series of Poker.

EVENT #3 | 3K HU NLH/PLO | 317 ENTRIES | 870K PRIZEPOOL

We played the first three rounds of the 3K Heads Up NLH/PLO event; Round 4 is currently underway, players how have already won their Round 4 matches include: David Williams, Mike Sexton, Trevor Pope, Josh Arieh, Jason Koon, Annette Obrestad and Vojtech Ruzicka.

Tim West, Justin Bonomo, Sam Stein and Eric Froehlich are amongst those that have not survived their Round 4 matchups.

Yesterday also marked the debut of Event #4 - the first stud event of the series - 198 players survived Day 1 ... Michael Mizrachi, Andrey Zaichenko, Jeff Madsen and Jon Turner are the top notables still alive in the event.
