APPT QUEENSTOWN: SCHREINER IS CHIP BOSS - WINS SNOWFEST

PHOTO/SOURCE: POKERNEWS.com

Was there ever a doubt? Marcel Schreiner took the chip lead at APPT Queenstown Snowfest sometime on Friday and he never, ever looked back. Chip leader after Friday, chip leader following Saturday's play and pickup the Championship on Sunday - not a bad weekend for the German!

The buzz name heading into this weekend's play was popular pro Jonathan Karamalikis and although he did make the final table, he wasn't able to place better than 9th, outside PTPR Points consideration for a PTPR Challenger Event.

FINAL TABLE PAYOUTS (in NZD):
1 Marcel Schreiner 94,300
2 Matt Yates 60,000
3 John Waterman 35,150
4 Carl Knox 29,145
5 Daniel Laidlaw 24,000
6 Tom Grigg 19,715
7 Xiao Dong Xia 16,290
8 Hugh Cohen 12,860
9 Jonathan Karamalikis 10,280
