Lots of news coming from the Epic Poker League at the Palms in Las Vegas.

The Main Event started earlier today. A total of 127 have currently registered but there are still a couple of hours for players to sign-in. The Main Event is a six-handed event a 20K buy-in. Please note that this event will not qualify for PTPR Points - due to the fact that this is not an open event - but, we will still provide daily updates.

We have currently completed three levels, players are on a 15-minute break.

The current Top 5 chip counts look like this:
Isaac Baron – 175,200
James Mackey – 139,600
Dan Fleyshman – 121,300
Sam Stein – 117,000
Sam Trickett – 108,000

Eliminated players include: Isaac Haxton, Micah Raskin, JC Tran, Andrew Lichtenberger, Dean Hamrick, Eric Froehlich, Brock Parker, Randal Flowers, Scott Clements, Rep Porter, Nick Binger, Chris Moorman and David Peters.

Yesterday was TV Final Table time for the Pro-Am event - all players had already secured their seat to today's Main Event. Steve O'Dwyer won the event, collecting his fourth PTPR Score of the year. O'Dwyer's 167 PTPR Points place him 26th on the 2011 PTPR Player of the Year charts.

Brandon Meyers earned his third PTPR Score of the year with his second place finish. Andy Bloch and Jeremiah DeGreef collected their second Scores.

Congratulations to Andy Frankenberger, who won the Epic Poker Charity Event on Sunday night - the reigning WPT Player of the Year donated his winnings to charity.
