HPT TURNING STONE: CHAMP PFEIFER IN A EMPIRE STATE OF MIND

SOURCE: HPTPOKER.com

It was probably the longest Heartland Poker Tour Main Event in history ... but it was all worth it to Randy Pfeifer - who picks up $157,000 and, most importantly, the win at Heartland Poker Tour's Turning Stone Main Event in Verona, New York.

Is Pfeifer King of the Empire (State)? This is his second major tournament victory of the season - and his second in the State of New York - he won the Seneca Niagara Deepstacks Main Event a few months back. Pfeifer now carries 70 PTPR Points into the final third of the 2011 season.

Here is a link to our report on Pfeifer's Seneca Niagara victory:

Poker ambassador, ESPN's Bernard Lee finished third in the event. Lee held the chip lead late only to suffer a few devastating defeats in a row, causing him to bow out in third position. Still, another great effort from Lee.
