PTS AT STAKE: HEARTLAND POKER TOUR HITS TURNING STONE

PHOTO/SOURCE: HPTPOKER.com

After a successful Pro-Am event at the Epic Poker League series at the Palms last week, the Heartland Poker Tour is in Verona (outside Syracuse), New York for it's latest tour stop.

A total of 443 runners all put up $1,650 on Saturday in order to try and grab a piece of the Heartland.

We had some big names in poker attend the event including: Kevmath, Lacey Jones, Dennis Phillips, Bernard Lee, Darvin Moon, Todd Terry, Bryan Piccioli and Ari Engel.

The plan is to play down to the final table tonight but, after seeing a Dennis Phillips tweet, there still seems to be 74 players remaining - they have yet to even hit the money! - could end up being a very long night at the Turning Stone!

Here is Phillips' (@Dennis_Phillips) tweet:
Lost huge pot end of level 16...down to 130k now! 74 players remain, paying 60

  1. thanks to the winner for leaving a whopping $500 dealer tip on his $158k win, and the 2nd place guy for his generous $79 tip on his $88k payout! Cheap cheap cheap! Talk about stingy!
