Words can't even begin to explain what has just transpired in a small in town Connecticut.
Last night, Vanessa Selbst did the unthinkable by winning the NAPT Mohegan Sun Main Event. A buddy of mine even said to me "who does she think she is, Johnny Chan?" This just goes to show how rare of an accomplishment this is.
Well, I'll be sure to text my buddy to let him know that, in the same town, at the same casino, a day later, a star player did it again! This time it's Vanessa's fellow PokerStars Pro teammate Jason Mercier (cue the conspiracy theories) who has repeated as the High Roller Bounty Shootout event.
Absolute insanity ... I think i've said it all, not much more to say except that Mercier outlasted Eugene Katchalov heads up, it's the second PTPR Score of the season for both players.
Fantastic work by both Vanessa and Jason - now let's see both carry the momentum into the summer!
