ISLE BATTLE: BEACH BLANKET POKER - SPINELLA BEATS BIG NAME FIELD

Big names were battling it out on the beaches of Pompano this week.

Matt Brady, Adam Katz, Allen Bari, Harrison Gimbel, Dan Smith and Robert McLaughlin were all big names in contention as we were getting close to crowning a champion at the Battles at the Beach Main Event at the Isle Casino in Pompano Park.

But, in the end, it's Anthony Spinella (pictured) who came away with the win, and the 174k prize! Spinella made a couple of deep runs - in No Limit events - at the 2010 World Series of Poker.

Many participants played in the event as a warm-up to the World Poker Tour Hard Rock tour stop that started today - for many of these big names, this is hopefully the result they were looking for in order to make a long WPT Hard Rock run.

Here are the Top 10 payouts:
1 Anthony Spinella $174,870
2 Evan Dollinger $102,510
3 Matt Brady $66,330
4 Adam Katz $42,210
5 Allen Bari $30,150
6 Michael Tait $25,929
7 Gunnar Rabe $19,899
8 Micah Smith $14,472
9 Brian Hawkins $13,869
10 Harrison Gimbel $13,266
