2011 WSOP: MERCIER MAKES MOVE, MOVES INTO PTPR TOP 3!

Back to big top at the Rio where Jason Mercier has taken the poker world by storm these last few years.

Mercier earns his second major win of the season - adding a bracelet in Event 35 5K Pot Limit Omaha Six Handed to his 10K High Rollers Bounty Shootout win at Mohegan Sun earlier this year.

Jason skyrockets up the PTPR Charts with the win - earning his sixth PTPR Score of the season - and collecting 130 PTPR along the way - good enough for a total of 277 PTPR Points, and, third place overall on the PTPR Tournament Poker Player of the Year Leaderboard, pushing Eugene Katchalov to fourth.

There is no doubting that Jason Mercier is one of the best overall poker players in the world - live, online, cash, tournaments, hold'em, mixed games, he does it all - this latest win and his #3 rank on the PTPR charts only helps to solidify the fact.

Steven Merrifield, David Chiu, Michael Timex McDonald, Greg Brooks, Chris Moorman, Daniel Fuhs, Devilfish Ulliott, Peter Jetten, Tow Dwan, Erick Lindgren and Vanessa Selbst (who entered final day play with the chip lead) were other notables in the Top 18.
