While many of the top poker players in France make their way to the France Poker Series' SnowFest in Evian, eight players will be coming back to the Aviation Club de France in Paris on Saturday, to play down to a Champion at the WPT National Paris - Paris Open of Poker Main Event.
And while popular pro Davidi Kitai was the unfortunate final table bubble player, it's Japan's Shinya Shimada who holds the chip lead heading into Saturday's play.
Shimada (2012 PTPR Rank: NR) won a prelim event at EPT London in October.
French veteran Antoine Saout enters final table play second in chips while fellow Frenchman - Euro Finals of Poker Silver Championship winner Franck Boyer (2012 PTPR Rank: 136th) - is one of the short stacks at the table.
