Carla Solinas seemed destined to earn her first live tournament poker victory earlier today. Solinas (2012 PTPR Rank: NR) was dominant on Sunday and carried a 2:1 chip lead over 2nd place at the start of final table play.
Things went fairly smoothly Monday for the Italian; she even maintained a 2:1 chip lead for a while during heads up play. Sadly, things didn't turn out the way Solinas would have wanted.
Slovakian Anton Karasinsky came in and ruined Solinas' party. Karasinsky's only known live tournament cash was a whopping $640 USD bounty earned at the Prague Poker Festival in 2010.
Karasinsky (2012 PTPR Rank: NR) definitely played the role of spoiler on Monday in Nova Gorica.
