WPT IRELAND: WILD NIGHT LEAVES SHALLOW DOMINATING FINAL FIVE

PHOTO/SOURCE: WPT.com

Forget the traditional WPT six-person Final Table, they do things differently in Ireland!

After a marathon 14-hour session, about 30 minutes were left. And what crazy action to end the night! Forget the traditional six-player final table, this WPT Main Event will only have five, thanks to massive chip leader David Shallow.

Shallow was able to counterfeit pocket aces and pocket queens by turning a jack - to go with the pocket jacks he was holding - and take one heck of a chip lead heading into Final Table play on Sunday. Shallow has a little over 6 million chips in hands ... the remaining four players hold about 4M in chips total.

It's Shallow's tournament to lose for sure although the other four players, including defending GUKPT Luton Champion Charles Chattha hope that they will be able to pull the upset and become the first ever WPT Ireland Champion.
