POKERSTARS 5K PLO CHAMPIONSHIPS
For Coviensky, he joins a long list of Canadian players who have taken over the PCA so far ... he is the fifth Canadian player to win a PCA event this week - not a bad first week on the circuits for the boys and girls up north!
Coviensky (2011 PTPR Rank: NR) survived 66 other players to win the Pokerstars PLO Championships (8-max), defeating Hanz Winzeler heads up. Winzeler (2011 PTPR Rank: 258th) had a second-place showing at a PLO event at the WSOP this past summer.
Justin Schwartz (2011 PTPR Rank: 2028th), Joeri Sman (2011 PTPR Rank: 1487th) and French pro Ludovic Lacay (2011 PTPR Rank: 1767th) each had a Top 8 finish in the event.
