Gigi Gagne is looking to collect one heck of a Valentine's gift on Tuesday. The chip leader coming into Final Table play at the WPT Lucky Hearts Open, Gagne (2011 PTPR Rank: NR), could become the first woman to win a World Poker Tour open event.
Gagne holds a million dollar chip lead over the man who held the chip lead the past two days, Matt Juttelstad. Juttelstad (2011 PTPR Rank: NR) has a few live tournament cashes in his career. He did earn a 82nd place finish at the 2010 PCA Main Event.
2009 Wynn Classic Champion and Las Vegas pro Keith Ferrera and Sharon Levin - who finished 9th at the Florida State Poker Championship last August - will hope that their previous final table experience will help them on Tuesday.
Although they were eliminated today, Harrison Gimbel (2011 PTPR Rank: 2090th), Ganesh Letchumanan (2011 PTPR Rank: 452nd), Christian Harder (2011 PTPR Rank: 88th), Gian Oliveri (2011 PTPR Rank: 607th) and Noah Schwartz (2011 PTPR Rank: 828th) all collected PTPR Points today.
Schwartz's seven points bring his total up to 107 PTPR Points for the year, he moves up to 11th overall on the 2012 PTPR Tournament Player of the Year Leaderboard.
