2012 LAPC: POCHE, JAKA LEAD ALL-STAR CAST AT 5K PRELIM

Day 2 play has just begun at the LAPC 5K No Limit Holdem Prelim - precursor to the World Poker Tour Los Angeles Poker Classic Main Event which starts tomorrow.

An all-star cast returns to Commerce today lead by Jonathan Poche and Faraz Jaka.

Poche (2011 PTPR Rank: 346th) won the WSOP Circuit Main Event at Harrah's New Orleans last May. As for Jaka, the man from Chicago/NorCal needs no introduction. Jaka currently sits 8th on the 2012 PTPR Tournament Poker of the Year Leaderboard.

Jaka (2011 PTPR Rank: 2090th) finished third the PCA Main Event this past January and was runner-up to Jean-Paul Helderman at the Aussie Millions NLH Six-Max prelim.

Darren Elias, Joseph Cheong, James Carroll, Vanessa Selbst, Josh Brikis, Shaun Deeb and current #1 ranked player on the PTPR Leaderboard, Jonathan Duhamel all held Top 10 chip stacks as Day 2 began.
