WSOPC IP BILOXI: MONROE GOES FROM SHORT STACK TO CHAMPION IN A JIFFY

PHOTO/SOURCE: POKERNEWS.com

When the final 12 players reconvened in order to find the next WSOP Circuit winner at IP Casino in Biloxi, Jerry Monroe was barely hanging on - he was one of the short stacks and, add to that, the fact that Jeremy Drewery had a significant chip lead over the 11 others.

Well, only a few short hours later and Monroe (pictured) is the one standing on the top of the mountain, wearing the WSOP Circuit ring. Monroe defeated Wild Bill Phillips heads up.

Jacob Naquin earned a second PTPR Score this season with his third place finish. Back to Drewery, this was certainly a disastrous result for him ... he literally went from chip king to short stack within a matter of a few hands.
