Ben Hamnett (2012 QJ/PTPR Rank: T-83rd) is the latest winner on the World Poker Tour. Late Friday night, Hamnett defeated Matthew Burnitz (2012 QJ/PTPR Rank: 163rd) heads-up to win the WPT Borgata Poker Open, an event that drew a massive 1,181 entry field.
Hamnett had come close to a WPT Final Table before, he finished 11th at the 2011 WPT Shooting Star in San Jose, California.

Matt Brady (2012 QJ/PTPR Rank: T-658th) - who bubbled the WPT final table - Scott Schwalich (2012 QJ/PTPR Rank: 1,147th), Jamie Kerstetter (2012 QJ/PTPR Rank: 993rd), Kyle Bowker (2012 QJ/PTPR Rank: 397th), Lee Childs (2012 QJ/PTPR Rank: T-423rd) and Vinny Pahuja (2012 QJ/PTPR Rank: T-912th) are other notables who collected Player of the Year points in this event.
