EVENT #13 |
1,500 LIMIT HOLD'EM |
730 ENTRIES | 985K PRIZEPOOL
The good doctor, 66-year old David Arsht (2012 QJ/PTPR Rank: 40th) won his first ever bracelet, winning the 1,500 Limit Hold'em event on Thursday.
The most interesting part of Arsht's victory? The fact that a story has surfaced involving the good doctor and poker pro Matt Glantz.
You see, about seven year ago, Dr. Arsht performed Glantz' vasectomy! Only at the WSOP do you get stories like these.
Delaware Park Classic runner-up Alexander Queen (2012 QJ/PTPR Rank: T-289th) finished 8th in this event while Leonid Bilokur (2012 QJ/PTPR Rank: 46th) - who defeated Jonathan Duhamel in the 25K High Rollers at the PCA - entered final day play as the chip leader ... unfortunately, he finished 15th in the event.
Al Barbieri, Roland Israelashvili, Ian Johns and Jennifer Harman-Traniello all earned Top 18 finishes in the event.
