Matthias de Meulder wins the 1.5K NLH Turbo Event at the PokerStars.fr EPT Deauville.
de Meulder (2011 PTPR Rank: 1483rd) had a deep run at EPT Barcelona last season. de Meulder defeated 377 other participants to win the second event of his live tournament poker career - he first won in 2009; winning the Main Event at the Mini WSOP in Ireland that November.
Canada's Samuel Chartier finished sixth in the event. Chartier (2011 PTPR Rank: 106th) already had a bunch of points at this point last season, he had won the PLO 8-Max Championship at the PCA a month earlier. See Chartier in next post as he posted another score at Deauville.
Christian Tardea (2011 PTPR Rank: 1843rd), Yury Gulyy (2011 PTPR Rank: 2703rd) and Viacheslav Igin (2011 PTPR Rank: 346th) also collected points in the event.
