Joseph Chalbaud is the fist winner of 2012 on the Heartland Poker Tour. The HPT kicked off the season over the weekend at the Daytona Beach Kennel Club and Poker Room in Dayton Beach, Florida.
Chalbaud survived 276 other competitors in order to pickup the first live score (on record) of his poker career - over 100K for the win, not a bad rookie payday!
Chalbaud defeated Enos Smith heads up. The match was very competitive for a bit but Chalbaud picked up a major pot when he hit a flush and Smith was unable to recover from that point on.
The Heartland Poker Tour makes it's way to the Downstream Casino Resort next for HPT Oklahoma!
