A Canadian snowbird flew to Palm Beach and picked up the win at the World Series of Poker Circuit event at the Palm Beach Kennel Club in Florida.
Ontario native James Harnden (2011 PTPR Rank: NR) defeated a large 778-player field in order to win the first live tournament of his career. Harnden finished fifth in the Five Star World Poker Classic Seniors Event last May.
Drazen Ilich (2011 PTPR Rank: 658th) who posted scores at WSOPC Choctaw and WSOPC Hammond last season, David Stefanski (2011 PTPR Rank: 465th) who had deep runs at NAPT Mohegan Sun and the Borgata Spring Open and Chris Parsons (2011 PTPR Rank: 2397th) all earned Top 9 finishes in the event.
