PRELIM PROFIT: DORFMAN BEATS BIG NAMES AT LAPC 5K PRELIM

Randy Dorfman survived a quality field at the last LAPC prelim event prior to start of today's Main Event.

Dorfman won the 5k NLH buy-in prelim and beat notables Nicholas Levi (2nd), Shannon Shorr (3rd), Nick Binger (5th), Jon PearlJammer Turner (6th) and a host of others, including Carlos Mortensen and Matt Jarvis, on his way to his first title of the season.

The long awaited WPT LAPC Main Event starts later today with many big names of poker expected to make their way to the Commerce Casino poker room.
