DEEB AND ISILDUR1 AT IT AGAIN!
As the final three tables battled it out, all eyes were on Shaun Deeb and Viktor Blom to see which two-time 2012 SCOOP winner would make the move to takeover SCOOP Event 20-H NLH … but, in a shocking turn of events, neither player was able to take home their third title as Deeb finished 16th and Isildur1 20th.

SUNDAYKING picked up the win over brianm15 in what was a somewhat heated war of words as neither player could agree to a deal and one player noting to the other that he was being outplayed.

Corwin Mackey, Jose “Nacho” Barbero, Bryn Kenney, Ivan Demidov, Jonathan Duhamel and Christopher Brammer all finished in the Top 25 in the event.

BLOM IN BEAST MODE EARLY
If by now you don’t know who the REAL Isildur1 is, well, maybe you shouldn’t be reading this article? If, however, you didn’t just how good of a player Viktor Blom is, well, read along kids – as Blom is running it Beast Mode early at the 2012 SCOOP.

One day after capturing the title in Event 02-M – No Limit Hold’Em, Blom was back at it today, winning a second event in two days!! Blom has won SCOOP EVENT 03-H, collecting over 407K USD in the last two days.

And guess what? Isildur1 is 21 years old ... that means that good ol’ Mr. Blom will making his World Series of Poker debut this summer.

EPT GRAND FINAL: SHAKERCHI WIN PUTS AN END TO MONTE CARLO

Wow, what an incredible tour stop - kudos to the EPT and to the Casino Monte Carlo for pulling off what is the most prestigious event on the world poker circuit, aside from the WSOP.

This year's EPT Grand Final was the biggest one yet and Monte Carlo did not disappoint. We close out the Grand Final with results from the 10K NLH High Roller Turbo event that was completed earlier in the week - final results were released earlier today.

Talal Shakerchi won the event. The British cash game pro held the lead after Day 1 of the 100K High Rollers event here in Monte Carlo - event that was won by Justin Bonomo.

Shakerchi defeated popular American pro Kevin MacPhee heads up, collecting a nice 223K EURO for the victory.

Isildur1 - aka Viktor Blom - was seventh in the event while fellow Canadians Sam Chartier and Michael "Timex" McDonald both earned Top 8 finishes.

We continue with monster fields at Main Events around the whole world! This time, we stop in France for EPT Deauville ... almost 900 runners in this event!!

Amongst the leaders as we head into Day 2 are "the former man of mystery" Viktor Blom (otherwise known as Isildur1) and one of my idols growing up - French singer/actor Patrick Bruel. I was a kid when I found out that Bruel would spend time in Vegas and had won big tournaments - this was the first I had ever heard of poker tournaments ... we're talking in the late 80's, early 90's folks, pre-internet, pre-ESPN airing 400 episodes a year, pre-Rounders, pre-Annette even being born!

Bruel won a bracelet in Limit Hold'em at the 1998 World Series.
