EPT SANREMO: FORSMO OVER A MILLY, 66 SURVIVE DAY 3 IN SANREMO

For the second straight day Norwegian Inge Forsmo (2012 QJ/PTPR Rank: NR) leads the way in Sanremo.

After earning the chip lead on Sunday, Forsmo continued his strong play on Day 3 today - he is the only player returning tomorrow with over a million chips in play.

Ireland's Jason Tompkins (2012 QJ/PTPR Rank: T-531st) also maintained a big chip stack on Day 3. Tompkins enters Tuesday's play in sixth chip position.

Although Tompkins does have a ton of live scores on his resume, a major win is still missing - could this be the one for the Irish poker pro?

2010 EPT London Champ David Vamplew (2012 QJ/PTPR Rank: T-1,455th) rounds-out the Top 10.

For the second straight day, the final hand of the evening wasn't too nice to a top pro. After Sam Trickett lost most of his chips on the final hand on Sunday (Trickett was eliminated early during Day 3 play), it was Isaac Haxton's (2012 QJ/PTPR Rank: 276th) turn to feel the pain on Monday.

All-in pre-flop, Haxton's AK was up against Eric Nhouyvanisvong's QQ ... the flop did make things interesting as Haxton hit two diamonds and Nhouyvanisvong had to sweat a flush draw on the turn and river - which he did.

Although Haxton still has a lot of chips, he would have been near the chip lead had he not been involved in that final hand.

EPT GRAND FINAL: SMITH IS SICK! WINS THIRD 5K TITLE IN A WEEK!!!

PICTURE: POKERSTARS (Neil Stoddart)

Dan Smith is on a sick, sick, sick run! One week ago, Smith entered the Casino Monte Carlo looking to score his first PTPR Points for 2012. Smith had won the 100K Aussie Millions Challenge but no PTPR Points were available for that event.

A few days later, Smith has three major victories and rules the 2012 QuadJacks Poker Player of the Year Top 10, powered by PTPRpoker.

Smith's latest victory brings his six-day total winnings to over 530K EURO - well done Mr. Smith!

Smith (2012 QJ/PTPR Rank: 1st) captured the win in the 5K No Limit Six-Max Event, defeating Toby Lewis heads up. Lewis (2012 QJ/PTPR Rank: T-116th) and Smith actually agreed to a deal before continuing heads up and Lewis ends up with more money for finishing second.

2011 WSOP bracelet winner Matthew Perrins (2012 QJ/PTPR Rank: T-398th) was fifth in the event.

Chris Brammer (2012 QJ/PTPR Rank: T-327th), Dmitry Grinenko (2012 QJ/PTPR Rank: 306th) and Isaac Haxton (2012 QJ/PTPR Rank: 67th) were other Final Table notables.

PCA 2012: BILOKUR WINS HIGH ROLLERS BUT DUHAMEL TAKES OVER #1 SPOT

PHOTO/SOURCE: POKERSTARSBLOG.com

Ukraine's Leonid Bilokur has won the 25K High Rollers event at the PCA down in the Bahamas. Bilokur's only other major live score was a EPT Berlin side event win back in 2010. With this win, Bilokur (2011 PTPR Rank: 308th) collects a cool 1.1M dollars, a great way to start 2012.

Second place finisher Jonathan Duhamel closed out what could be one of the best weeks of poker ever played on the live circuit. Five events - four final tables - one win and now a second place finish.

Although Duhamel seemed very flustered with the way things went late in the heads up portion of today's final table (Duhamel held a significant lead once heads up play began) but Duhamel (2011 PTPR Rank: 71st) should not be too upset, his second place showing earns him his season-leading third PTPR Score of the year and takes over the #1 rank on the 2012 PTPR Poker Player of the Year Leaderboard.

Isaac Haxton was third in the event. Haxton (2011 PTPR Rank: 803th) scores for the second time in 2012.

FINAL TABLE PAYOUTS
1 Leonid Bilokur 1,134,930
